This month, we’re shining a light on our dynamic Animal Science program at Vernon ISD! From hands-on learning to real-world applications, CTE students dive deep into the fascinating world of animal care, nutrition, and health management.
The curriculum equips students with the skills they need to pursue careers in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, and more.
Join us in celebrating our VISD Animal Science program this November!

Our McCord Elementary students held their own election today, as they went to the polls to cast their ballot for presidential nominees Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. After marking their ballot, students placed it in the ballot box and received a stamp of the United States flag on the back of their hand. It's never too early to teach children the importance of civic responsibility and of the privileges we have living in the United States of America.

The activity helps extend the students' knowledge of force, motion, friction, and gravity.
Last week, our McCord students were entertained with The NED Show. The character education program centered around the story of NED, which stands for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best.
