Approximately 30 parents attended this morning's Parent Orientation at Vernon Middle School. Parents received information about the PTO program and then broke into groups. The groups rotated through 3 information stations. One station provided information on ROOMS, the platform teachers and parents use to communicate; another went over student drop-off and pick-up procedures and behavior and academic expectations for VMS students; and a third provided information on lunches, extra-curricular activities, and ways students can earn points toward reward trips. Another orientation session, which is open to parents of all VMS students, will be held tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the VMS cafeteria.
