Vernon ISD is partnering with Care Solace to provide free mental health services to our students, teachers, staff and community. Self-harm can turn into a dangerous cycle. There are other ways to cope with difficult or painful emotions, and a mental health provider can help you discover them. You can always call CareSolace 24/7/365 at 888-515-0595 for help finding a mental health care provider who truly understands.

March 1 is Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day and we want to give a shout out to our great maintenance crew!!! As part of Vernon ISD's health services, a spinal screening will be conducted next week. Per Texas state requirements, only 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys will be screened this year. If a student shows any sign of a spinal defect at the screening, we will relay the information to the parent/guardian in writing. We hope the student will then be taken to their primary care provider for diagnoses and follow-up care if needed.

Tomorrow we begin a brand new month! Here's our VISD Cafeteria Menu for March.

To celebrate VMS staff February birthdays and to have a little fun, staff members were divided into teams and participated in a Charcuterie Board contest. Each team was given a color theme.
