Our 6th & 7th Grade Awards Assembly will be held today in the VMS Gym from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. We would like to extend an invitation for parents to attend the assembly and support our students as they receive honors and recognition for their work during the 2022-23 school year. Also, our Game Day for 6th Graders will be held today at 1 p.m., in the Gym.
All VISD students who will be 7th, 9th, or 11th graders next year AND participate in any sports program, along with band, are required by UIL to under a sports physical. Also, any student-athlete who suffered a severe injury this current year is also required to have a sports physical. Mark your calendar and take advantage of this great opportunity provided by the Wilbarger General Hospital Medical Group.

The Santa Rosa Roundup parade kicked off rodeo festivities Wednesday afternoon and VISD was well represented, as many students and staff members participated in the parade.

The 2023-24 Vernon Middle School cheerleaders will make their debut Wednesday afternoon in the Santa Rosa Roundup Parade. ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS: On Friday, the 8th grade promotion will begin at 1:30 p.m., in the Wilbarger Auditorium. Students are encouraged to dress their best and invite their family. All students attending the ceremony will be called up onto the stage to receive their promotion certificate. At this time, they will also receive awards they have earned throughout the school year. After the ceremony, students and their guests will be invited into the Empire Room for refreshments. Photo booths will be set up for the students to take pictures with their friends and family. At the conclusion of the reception, students will go back to the VMS gym and will be released when the last bell rings at 3:35 p.m., or the student's parent can sign them out at the auditorium.
UPDATE!!!! THEY WILL BE IN TOWN CLOSER TO 6 P.M. Come on out and welcome our track state champs home in style!!
